What if it rains while I'm visiting Bunker Beach?
Bunker Beach will remain open in the rain unless it is raining hard enough so the lifeguards cannot see the bottom of the pools. We will reopen as soon as safely possible. Bunker Beach will clear the pool at the first sign of lightning, and the pool will remain cleared until 15 minutes after the last sign of lightning. If the pool is cleared due to lightning for over an hour, guests that have been there less than two hours before the initial closing will be given a rain check. Guests who have been at Bunker Beach for over two hours before the pool was cleared will not receive a rain check.

Does Bunker Beach have lockers available for guests?
Answer: Guests can purchase a pad lock from the tube shack; otherwise they can bring their own lock to lock their own locker. There are NO pay lockers!

What kind of payment does Bunker Beach accept?
Bunker Beach accepts: Cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover everywhere in the facility. This includes admissions, concessions and the tube rental area. An ATM is available at Bunker Beach inside the concessions building. Bunker Beach does not accept personal checks.

Do I have to pay if I don't swim?
Answer: All persons entering Bunker Beach, including spectators, will be required to pay the daily fee.

Do I have to wear a swim suit at Bunker Beach?
Answer: Appropriate swim attire must be worn in the park. T-shirts worn for sun protection will be the only non-swim attire allowed in the water. Because the chlorine in the water may cause some shirt dyes to bleed, white or light colors are recommended. Jeans are not allowed in the pool.

What are the best times to visit Bunker Beach?
Answer: If you are looking to avoid large crowds, Bunker Beach is typically less crowded each day after 3:00 p.m.

Do I have to pay for parking if I am dropping someone off?
Answer: If you are dropping someone off you can have a 10 minute drop off pass; otherwise it is a$5.00 daily parking fee or $25.00 for an annual Anoka county Parks pass.

Should I rent a tube if I will be using the wave pool?
Answer: You do not need to rent a tube to enjoy the wave pool. Guests can rent tubes on a first come first serve basis and availability is not guaranteed.

How do I know if my lifejacket is Coast Guard approved?
Answer: On the inside of the lifejacket there should be either a seal or sentence that states it has been approved by the United States Coast Guard. If you have a lifejacket that is also a swimsuit it is not Coast Guard approved. Bunker Beach does have Coast Guard approved life jackets available to rent.
